FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)

WHAT IS THE ADVANTAGE OF USING our company RATHER THAN GOING TO A PUBLIC HOSPITAL OR TO A MEDICAL CLINIC?

The advantage is a simple one and can be summarized in one word : flexibility. You have most certainly experienced difficulties in the public care facilities even though you had an appointment. You are available only in the evening, but no appointment can be made after 5 p.m.; you are in a big hurry and the very first available date is 15 days away... Thanks to our home blood sampling and medical sampling service we are in the position of scheduling an appointment within 24 hours. We offer you appointments depending on your own availability and not the other way around. No need to go to the hospital or to postpone a professional appointment. This solution is especially well- suited to those who are unable to go out : a person in a wheelchair, low mobility individuals due to an accident, elderly people etc... Obviously our service has an associated cost, but you will notice the difference at once!

I NEED AN APPOINTMENT FAST. HOW SOON CAN I BE SEEN AT HOME BY A NURSE?

If you live in serviced areas, namely the Montreal, Longueuil, Laval regions and Montreal’s South and North Shores, Our company will make you an appointment within 24 hours. Please note that we are available even on weekends and on public holidays in order to meet your blood sampling requests. The aim of being available all weekdays is to make your life easier. Feel free to give us a call for further information.

I AM ONLY AVAILABLE VERY EARLY IN THE MORNING OR LATE IN THE EVENING. IS THIS A PROBLEM FOR SCHEDULING AN APPOINTMENT?

Being aware of their professional or family obligations, we stay at our patients’ disposal, providing them 24 hours a day services in order to meet all their requests. Early mornings are great, seeing that certain blood sampling operations require an empty stomach.

DO I NEED A MEDICAL PRESCRIPTION TO USE YOUR SERVICES?

Pursuant to section 136 of the Public Health Protection Act, all laboratory tests require a medical prescription. Before calling us please make sure that your doctor has issued you a medical prescription for blood tests or other medical analyses. Feel free to contact us for further information.

HOW SHOULD I PREPARE BEFORE THE NURSE COMES TO MY HOME? ARE FILE FEES CHARGED?

Please have your health insurance card on you. We will ask to see it only for patient identification purposes. Our policy is clear : file initiation is completely free of charge.

I DON’T KNOW YOUR COMPANY HOW CAN I CHECK UP ON YOUR NURSES’ QUALIFICATIONS?

Our team of professionals is handpicked. Obvisouly, all of them have obtained degrees corresponding to their specialty. Do you wish to get informed on the quality of the registered nurse that will come to you? Ask us his/her name and we will give you the information. You can always check his/her right to practice by referring to either L’Ordre des Infirmi ères et Infirmiers du Quebec, L’Ordre des Infirmi ères et Infirmiers Auxilieres du Quebec, or L’Ordre Des Technologistes du Quebec.

DOES YOUR COMPANY REALLY RUN ALL TESTS AT ONE’S HOME OR JUST BLOOD SAMPLING?

OUR COMPANY has gathered a highly qualified staff in order to meet your needs to the maximum extent possible. From electrocardiograms to routine blood sampling, we have all the materials needed for guaranteeing you best care either at your home or work within the shortest possible timeframe. We group together all the tests and medical sampling operations for which you would have to wait several days, even several weeks before undergoing them in a public health facility or a competing private clinic.

HOW DO YOUR SERVICES GET PAID FOR?

Our company do not charge anything above the fees charged by the private medical laboratory with which we are partnered with. Please note that the patient is charged no additional traveling cost other than the standard fees for laboratory analyses.
The payment of the medical tests can be made by credit card (VISA – MASTERCARD – AMEX), debit cards or cash.
All the nurses that go to a person’s house or to some other place agreed upon have a mobile device on them, which accepts all credit or debit cards. You can therefore pay for laboratory tests after the blood sampling is done.
